The LeadSpace site is for principals and school leaders. School leaders will find resources relating to management and professional development, and in addition pathways to the Ministry's e-Admin, Tools and e-Net areas.

There are three ways to find material on the LeadSpace site.

You can use the links from the central triangular logo.
This is the logo:

Use this to view resources and information from the Knowledge area, Tools, and the Leadership area. The e-Admin and e-Net areas are secure environments.

e-Net

This area requires a unique password per principal. It contains the Principals Electronic Network (PEN), which is a secure environment for reflection and discussion. All New Zealand primary and secondary principals will be given access to this area. For password support, send an email with your name and school to talk2learn@cwa.co.nz.

The New Principals Online (NPO) area is a sub-community of PEN. It supports the First-Time Principals Programme.

Leadership area

From here you will find material for professional development. It includes case studies, research, presentations and readings for the purpose of informing and enhancing the culture of schools.

Tools

The Tools area contains forms used by principals and school leaders to return information to the Ministry of Education, as well as templates, planning tools, and documents to help them meet management, planning, and reporting requirements. They are grouped by the six national Administration Guidelines (NAGS):

e-Admin

The e-Admin private area gives school leaders and administrators access to Ministry of Education applications.

Knowledge area

This is where principals and school leaders can find information to help them meet their management, planning, and reporting requirements, under the National Education Guidelines (NEGS). The relevant legislation and supporting Ministry of Education guidelines and circulars are grouped primarily under the six National Administration Guidelines (NAGS).

Search

This is the Search function:

Use the Search function to look for all the resources that are catalogued in the LeadSpace collection of materials. You can choose to access resources in the Knowledge, Leadership or both areas. To use the search function, enter your keywords in the box.

Leadspace news / Quick links

This is the navigation bar:

Use the LeadSpace news navigation bar to access current events relating to school leadership. The Quick links navigation bar provides links to educational reference sites.
